We made the call to head to the south, west of from HQ and explore some spots that had been lingering in the back of our minds. Spots that had gone unexplored. With mates feeling the same winter blues, no arm twisting was needed to fill the back seats. With the wipers on full noise, we were off.

After an hour on the road, we were ready. It was now a dash to the coast, chasing the swell. We were not disappointed. We spent the remainder of the trip on the coast, enjoying everything it had to offer.

With endless paddles out, beves on the beach and walks around the point; it was time to head inland to dry off, defrost and enjoy the countryside. The most amazing thing about our country is how the scene can change completely in a matter of hours. Sheep filled paddocks & endless hills, this time away gave us a break. Mother nature played the game and provided glimpses of the sun which were a telling sign this was where we were meant to be.

We feel like we can't say it enough, don't wait for summer.

Tucked away in spots that maps will not lead you to, there are pockets waiting to be found. If you've got the time, go in search, get out & explore. If you haven't got the time, make time. You really can't go wrong, especially when the only other option is staying inside waiting for the bleak weather to go away. There's nothing better than waking up early to uninterrupted scenery. It doesn’t matter where you are in the country, don't wait for summer.
